"Plot Twist"

Let me start off by telling you how much I LOVE maternity photos or anything family related! There’s something so pure and magical about watching a mommy, whether new or experienced with many children. Its magic, It’s an absolutely beautiful chapter to be able to not only be in the presence of, and capture, but seeing the glow of mama and baby to come is most surely one of life’s most gorgeous gifts. This session with newly to be parents Justin and Kari was the most fun! We started off with a short sesh inside our local Target, going for a comedic reveal photo to post before the weekend. We grabbed a cart, loaded it with diapers, bottles, blankets, a cute sloth, and hung some neutral colored clothes of the sides, and crammed a stroller on the bottom, at this point Kari being her adorable self says she has to have 3 more items… a giant chocolate bar, hot Cheetos and pickles lol. It was at this moment I knew her and I would be fast friends! There’s few people I have actually revealed my own pickle obsession too, but she outed herself first so this girl is a winner in my book haha! After returning to the diaper isle we got her up into the cart for the pose! I was so nervous with all the staff walking around, watching us and beeping on their walkie talkie things that I’ll be honest I didn’t really get the best pics in there, ugh my anxiety really needs to kick rocks sometimes, but it was SO FUN! And I definitely wanna try more comedic artsy photos like these in the future! Such a blast!
Our second location was at a beach in Cape Canaveral, which normally has very few people but this day for some reason was PACKED! That’s ok, just means we gotta get creative with angles and timing, and of-course just realizing the need for some extra patience with others on the beach and there need to walk by behind and in your shots, but in all honestly waiting for a min for someone to walk by is a lot less work than photoshop later so, it’s no worries really. I got to hear Justin and Karis story of how they found out about their little surprise baby and it was precious seeing them both in the “things are getting REAL” stage, I just loved seeing their joy. They also told the story of how there entire marriage they’ve had a joke between them about big changes in their lives together and they always say “plot twist” to each other when these happen, so this lovely HUGE surprise is most definitely there biggest Plot Twist! We grabbed some shots and the lighting was so perfect and moody, but they accidentally forgot their second outfits so we decided to come back for round two another day so stay tuned for more pics in the very near future of these 2... well 3!
